Christmas Is Upon Us

I love this time of year!  The reasons???  Well I could go about that all day :)  Baking, Hot Chocolate, Candy Canes, and presents!!!  But some of my favorite things are just simply doing things that my girls love.  Every year we make reindeer antlers :)  This is absolutely one of our favorite activities.  I started this when I was teaching kindergarten with a co-worker.  And of course I always had wonderful parents to assist with the 18 + kids that were all trying to make them at the same time.  This is really a project that takes about three days.  Day 1: Read Mooseltoe and then paint the first side of the antlers Brown.  Day 2: Paint the second side of the antler brown.  Day 3: Break out the HOT GLUE GUN, and go crazy decorating your antlers.  I always go to Hobby Lobby every year to let the girls pick out miniature ornaments to decorate their antlers with.  Here is a picture from two years ago when we started this tradition.  Kylie was 2 years old and Lily was 3 years old.

To make it even more festive...paint the tip of their noses red like Rudolf!  Don't forget to slow down and enjoy this special time of year.  Especially if you have little ones.  You will be helping them create memories that will last a life time!!  Merry Christmas, HO HO HO HO!!

Time Flies

The holidays are here! Can you believe it? I can't but time is not going to stop for me. My girls are so excited about the holidays. Last weekend they both sat down to look at the Toys R Us big book of toys!! Oh, how I miss being a kid. Those were the days when all you worried about was who you were going to play with, where you were going, what you were going to where :)

This weekend I turn 30. YIKES, where did time go??? I have been married for 8 1/2 years to my high school sweetheart. I have two healthy, beautiful little girls! And a family who loves and supports me on every adventure I take. Thank you to all of my family
and friends for your support, love, and encouragement over the years. I plan to just stay at home and enjoy some time with my little family this weekend. Then in less than two weeks my hubby and I are going to celebrate the big "30" in Vegas! WOHOOO! Before that happens I want to tell my "little" sister how thankful I am for a fabulous pre-birthday celebration this past weekend. She bought us floor seats to the Taylor Swift concert in
Houston. We not only got to shake hands with TaylorSwift but we shook our hair right along with her. We had so much fun! Thanks sis! Here are a couple of pictures from this past weekend!

A "close up" from the concert. This was with my sister's little point and shoot sony camera. We were about 5 rows away from Taylor Swift!

What is your favorite song that Taylor Swift sings? Mine is "Love Story".

Love you Ash!

A Sticky Sweet Mess

Today I finally let the girls drag out their cake decorating kit. My oldest Lily really likes to get in the kitchen to bake with her momma. My youngest Kylie she tells me she likes to bake too. But really allshe wants to do is lick the spoon! Itried to go at this cake decorating adventure with an open mind. But it is hard when you know it really is just going to end up all over your floor! Either way I think the three of us had a great time today. Hopefully, we will be able to make some Halloween sugar cookies this week. I will have to share my recipe!!

Here is a picture of Lily & Kylie with their masterpiece.

New Blog

Howdy Folks! This is not only how we say "HI" here in Texas but how we "AGGIES" like to greet others. Yes, you read that right! I am not only from Texas, but I am 3rd generation Aggie. And proud of it. My family has the longest standing history of the most family members to ever attend Texas A&M. So I love the Aggies through thick and thin!!

I am so excited about this new adventure in the blogging world. I love following blogs :) I am not the most creative when it comes to writing, but I do love to create at home. I hope to give you a glimpse into my life at home with two little girls or (what I like to think of as "PRECIOUS little ANGELS"). But sometimes they are not perfect like mommy wants them to be all the time! See I used to be a teacher, so I know what it is like to have that one child who always pushes you to your limits. I try really hard to juggle both WAH and raising two little girls who will be productive little citizens in their classroom. In other words due what their teacher tells them to do!! Stay tuned for more to come in the life of this WAHM of two...

With that said I will leave with you a sweet picture of my little "Angels".

PS I like to pretend that I am photographer on top of everything else. But to tell you the truth I really should just leave it to the professionals. They make it looks so effortless!
